Though I have spent most of my life and career as an actor, it wasn’t until later in my career that I had the opportunity to create something of my own. There was no work coming, so I built my own projects; first with the short film “BLACKBIRD a dream resurrected” and again with a production of W.B. Yeats “Purgatory”. This presented me with exciting new areas in which to work; especially editing!
These newly found passions have allowed me to express the creativity that has been bubbling inside of me for years. It has brought me to this place in time, a place of deep desire and infinite forms of expression.

BLACKBIRD a dream resurrected is a story of a man who’s hopes and aspirations are slowly extinguished as a result of the life choices he has made… with dramatic consequences. During a seizure, it’s the images that seep from his subconscious that really tell his story.
The images in his ‘dream’… from the bare feet, the snow covered forest, the moss that turns black, the barren trees, the fox, the owl and especially the pods full of dead blackbirds are all there to ‘speak’ to him. It is through these images are because of their meanings… that he is able to rebuild his character, resurrect his dream… and fly!

Max Is a member of the SS and Nina is a Jewish woman determined to enlist Max in her plan to get her father out of the camps. It was rewarding to have helped build this piece. It began as a one act play first presented on theatre row and ended as a full length film.

William Butler Yeats first presented “Purgatory” at Dublin’s Abbey Theater in August of 1938; only a few months before his death. Based on a dream he had had, he explores the possible salvation of the souls trapped in purgatory and their ultimate release and ascension into heaven.
The souls of the dead return to the scene of the transgressions they committed when they were alive and reenact them, this way, they understand the consequences of their transgressions.Yeats himself said “ I have a one act in my head, a scene of tragic intensity…I am so afraid of that dream. My recent work has greater strangeness and I think greater intensity than anything I have done. I never remember a dream so deep”.
